The Grenada Business Gateway project was an EU-funded project established to enhance the competitiveness of the private sector and to improve the enabling environment for businesses in Grenada. The project involved the provision of technical assistance to further strengthen the GIDC in the establishment and operations of a Business Gateway. Some of the achievements realized under this project were as follows:
- Developed guidelines for the production of food labels in ten (10) categories in keeping with EC labeling rules for processed products with export potential to the EU/UK
- Reviewed and assessed the business environment in Grenada and made recommendations for improvement
- Developed an enterprise tracking system
- Trained 15 entrepreneurs in Computerised QuickBooks Accounting
- Produced an Objective Assessment Manual for assessing the competitiveness of MSMEs
- Certified staff in delivering an Entrepreneurial Skills Development Training utilizing the CEFE methodology and trained nine (9) members of staff in transforming MS PowerPoint static/manual presentations into E-learning/self-running training tutorials in MS PowerPoint 2007 as well as in transforming same into Adobe Flash presentation and in creating from scratch a flash presentation using basic software without any flash coding
