The Grenada Craft Initiative project commenced October 2006. The main purpose of the project was to showcase craft products produced by Grenadian artisans during Grenada’s hosting of Cricket World Cup 2007 to allow them to take advantage of the increased sales expected to be generated from Grenada’s hosting of Cricket World Cup 2007. 110 artisans participated in the project from all the parishes including Carriacou and Petite Martinique. The project focused on providing training in product development and management competency to enhance the selling and business development skills of the artisans.
